Marcelle Fay Dearing, 93, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 5, 2023, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Matt Chandler.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 10, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Lufkin, Texas, on February 18, 1929, she was the daughter of John Thomas Green and Minnie Alma (Burrows) Green. Marcelle worked as a cook for Kmart for 10 years. She was known to be a great cook and her family remembers her best recipe being her German chocolate cake. Marcelle was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. She was a very private, talented woman who enjoyed her coffee and flowers. She was almost always spending time with her adored husband, who never let her drive. Marcelle was such a sweet, kindhearted lady to everyone. She was always seeing the best in people. Marcelle’s family will hold the memories they have with her close to their hearts.
She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 75 years, Carl Dearing; sons, Danny Carl Dearing and Paul Victor Dearing; and her grandson, Jake Dearing.
She is survived by her sons, Gary and wife, Darlene and Johnny and wife, Leigh; daughter-in-law, Karen Dearing; grandchildren, Rick and wife, Marla, Brent and wife, Dana, and Quinton Dearing; great-grandchildren, Derick Dearing, Carlee Dearing, Reese Dearing, and Reagan Dearing; and great-great grandchildren, Emma Dearing and Connor Dearing.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Rick Dearing, Brent Dearing, Derick Dearing, Carlee Dearing, Reese Dearing, and Reagan Dearing.
