Margaret Conley-Worthy

Margaret Conley-Worthy, 90, of Georgetown, Texas, a former longtime resident of West Orange, Texas, passed away August 3, 2008, at Wesleyan Nursing Home in Georgetown.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 7, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Billy Hutson, Pastor Emeritus of Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Margaret was born January 14, 1918, in San Augustine County, Texas, in the community of Chinquapin. She was one of nine children born to Marian W. and Ethel Henley.
In 1940, Margaret married Paul Conley and they were happily married for 46 years until his death in 1986. Paul and Margaret lived in Beaumont, Texas for many years before relocating to West Orange in 1985.
In 1990, she married Washington Elonzo Worthy of West Orange.
She is preceded in death by both Mr. Conley and Mr. Worthy.
Margaret was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange. She retired from furniture sales in 1985 after working many years for Howell's Furniture in Beaumont and was an active member in the American Business Women's Association.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Paul and Dale Conley of Round Rock; daughter and son in law, Nelda and Landon Jones of Sao Paulo, Brazil; and four grandchildren Nick Conley, Dustin Conley, Joye Howell and Lana Jones.
She is also survived by four sisters, Mildred Wagstaff, Aline Wagstaff, Lois Braden, Nelda Antoon and brothers in law Louis Antoon and Claude Martinez, as well as many nieces and nephews.
