Margaret Sutherland Davis, 80, of Bridge City, died peacefully on Sunday, April 20, 2008 in Orange.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Charles Miller of First Baptist Church in Groves.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the funeral home.
Margaret was born in Port Arthur on February 16, 1928 to Ohlsen Sutherland of Port Arthur and Bessie Cullum of Deridder, LA. She was a homemaker and a member of the Red Hat Golden Girls and Second Baptist Church in Bridge City.
Margaret is survived by her husband Jack Howard Davis.
She is also survived by son, Eric Pietz and wife Lynda of Colorado; daughter, Susan Davis and husband Paul of Port Neches; stepson, Louis Davis and wife Sharon of Bridge City; stepdaughter, Julia Sulsar and husband Randy of Lockhart, TX., four grandchildren, Erika Archbold, Chere Johnson, Susannah Crabtree, and Shannon Pruett and five great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Nickum, Bob Moore, Joe Elam, Lawrence Miller, Mickey Downs and Joe Colburn.
Should friends desire, Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Texas.
