Margaret Mary Hunt Taylor
Margaret Mary Hunt Taylor, 68, of Orange, Texas, passed away after a lengthy illness in Temple, Texas on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017. She was born on December 15, 1948, in Port Arthur TX to Murphy and Mary Hunt. She was the 5th child of 15 siblings. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
She enjoyed a long career working with the U S Customs Service and the U S Marshal Service before beginning her 20-year career with the US Coast Guard, retiring as a First-Class Petty Officer.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Erney Hunt and Murphy R. Hunt, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Taylor of Orange, TX; daughters, Shannon Fulk and husband Marc, Laurie Justice and husband Jeff, and Roland Kennedy and wife Laura; grandchildren, Savannah, Erin, Erika, Skilor, Shanna, Jeff, Justin, Rebecca, Buster, Taylor, Trace and Brayden; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathie Chaffey and husband Norm, Sandra Bridges and husband Russ, Bonnie Duck and husband Dwight, and Ruth Kohler and husband David; brothers, D. Murphy Hunt and wife Debbie, Jimmy Hunt and wife Paula, Richard Hunt and wife, Teri, Allen Hunt and wife Kay, Mickey Hunt and wife Laura, Benny Hunt, Gene Hunt and wife Shonna, and Joe Hunt; brother–in-law Farley Taylor; sisters-in-law, Janis Premeaux and Alisa Spoonemore and husband Jody; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas, on Friday, December 8, 2017, visitation is at 1:00, a Rosary at 2:00, with funeral services to follow. Burial will take place Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 am, at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, Mississippi.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Skilor Fulk, Buster Davis, Jeff Justice, Justin Justice, Trace Kennedy, and Brayden Kennedy.
