Margie Burns, 92, of Orange, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008, surrounded by her family who adored her.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange, with a procession beginning at 2:00 p.m. from the funeral home.
Reverend Barry Bradley, pastor of First Baptist Church in Orange will officiate.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5th at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Margie was born April 5, 1916, in Two Egg, FL, to Cleveland and Leeper Green. She moved to Orange in 1936 to marry the love of her life, A.F. Burns, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1987.
Margie devoted her life to taking care of her family and creating lasting memories.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jo Lynn Withrow and husband Buddy and Janie Wallace; grandchildren, Brent and Tracy Peveto, Stephen Padgett and Marcos Olmeda, III, Joey Dale and Sidney Dronett and Janie and Rob Johnson; as well as the pride and joy of her life, great grandchildren, Shelby, Brett, Seth, Saylor, Jacob and Kenna. She also shared a special relationship with her late sons in law, Simon Peveto and Jimmy Dale Wallace.
She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to The Meadows of Orange and Southern Care of Beaumont.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First Baptist Church Orange-Building Fund or the American Red Cross in Orange.
