Obituary
Maria Luisa Cardenas, 89, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 4, 2019, at her home in Orange, Texas.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on June 3, 1929, she was the daughter of Maximiliano Cardenas and Maria Guadalupe Cardenas. Maria loved being surrounded by her family and cooking. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Maria was very outgoing, making friends wherever she went. She will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Leon Mario Alcala; loving husband, Felipe Alcala Deleon; and parents, Maximiliano and Maria Cardenas.
She is survived by her children, Leida Garcia of Orange, Jose Guadalupe Alcala of Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Felipe De Jesus Alcala of Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Jose Luis Alcala of San Antonio, Dora Elia Alcala of Orange, Juan Cruz Alcala of Houston, and Marco Antonio Alcala; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Maximiliano Cardenas and Jose Cardenas, both of Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
