Marie R. Arnall

Marie Arnall, 92, died in Lufkin on December 13. She was a long-time resident of Orange and for thirty-five years taught in area schools, retiring from Lutcher Stark High School. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Orange.

Mrs. Arnall was born in Junction City, Arkansas on August 11, 1917, the oldest child of Alfred Marshall Risinger and Dena Pickard Risinger. She grew up in Tenaha, Texas, and graduated from Tenaha High School.

She held degrees from Stephen F. Austin University, Lamar, and the University of Houston. An enthusiastic bridge player, she received the Life Master award from the American Contract Bridge League.

Mrs. Arnall is survived by her two children and their spouses: Tom and Sherry Arnall of Lufkin and Dena and Larry Harrison of Austin; two grandchildren, Jill Harrison Vassar and husband George of San Antonio and Matthew Harrison and wife Polly of Dallas; five great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews; and a number of cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd T. Arnall, whom she married on April 10, 1943; her sister Dixie R. Moore; and her brothers David C. Risinger, Darwin A. Risinger, Harry R. Risinger, and Howard D. Risinger.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 16 at 2 PM at Orange Forest Lawn Memorial Park in West Orange with Reverend Sharon Turner officiating.
