Marilyn Louise Sterling, 79, of Milam, a former resident of Beaumont, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, in Hemphill.
Born in El Paso, Texas, on November 15, 1941, she was the daughter of Marion Harvey Young and Lydia Mae (Perkins) Young. Marilyn was a retired floral designer and a Past Matron of Chapter 214, Order of the Eastern Star in Orange. She will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmie Sterling; son, Lloyd C. Childs, Jr.; granddaughter, Jenifer E. Childs; parents, Marion and Lydia Young; stepfather, W.S. (Junior) Young, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Anderson, Patrick Childs, and Jason Childs; grandchildren, Chelsea Childs, Lori (Nikki) Anderson, Clark Childs, Lindsey Whisenhunt, Dustin Lehman, Marshell Lehman, Hannah Bannon, and Ryan Bannon; six great-grandchildren; siblings, William (Bill) Young, W.S. Young, Gloria Young, Marie Davis, and Jeanette Lyons.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2021, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 3098 Highway 69 North, Nederland, Texas 77627.
