Marion H. "Mac" Meadows, Jr., 61, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at his home in Vidor.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Reverend Charlie Broussard officiating.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday at Claybar Funeral Home's temporary site, 1408 Park Ave. , Orange .
Mac was born August 6, 1947 in Orange to Marion and Georga Ringer Meadows. He worked for Tom Cat Tooter as a sheet metal worker and was a member of the sheet metal union.
Mac is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Oleta Ringer.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Meadows of Vidor; father, M. H. Meadows, Sr. of Orange County, CA; children, Darryl Meadows and wife, Megan of Houston, Corey Meadows and wife Eritrea Arnold of Orange, Suzanne Moore and husband, Coy of Houston, and Danny Grant and wife, Tommy Joe of Houston; grandchildren, Madilyn, Ashlee, Scarlet, and Amaya Meadows, Morgan Moore and Sarah and Rachel Grant; sisters, Debbie Brown and Patricia Timerson; and one half brother, one half sister, and their children. He also has many uncles, aunts, and cousins in Orange .
Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Ringer, David Bryant, Gary Dan Ringer, Jason Brown, Donald Brown, Russell Rodrigez, Ray McFarland and Larry English.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Five Point Credit Union in Mr. Meadow's name.
