Marjorie Ford, 89, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 12, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Paul Masters of West Orange Church of Christ. Burial will follow at 12 p.m., at Zion Hill in Jasper.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in San Augustine, Texas, on November 2, 1928, she was the daughter of Austin M. Harvey and Mary Ellen (Roberts) Harvey. Marjorie loved serving the Lord and was a faithful member of West Orange Church of Christ. She worked at Sears, JCPenney and The Fair for a number of years as a sales associate. Marjorie enjoyed reading and sewing, especially quilts. She was an incredibly loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and brought joy wherever she went. She will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her niece, Elaine Oldbury and dear friend, Aundria Lunsford for their love and support.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Ford; parents; and siblings.
She is survived by sons, David Ford and Peggy of New Braunfels, and Darrell Ford and Phyllis of Orange; grandchildren, Sarah and Lisa Ford, Dr. Amy Bumgardner and Matt, Ty Ford and Stacy, and Billy Ford and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Berkley and Boston Bumgardner, Micah and Shepherd Ford, and Brock and Mason Ford; sister, Maxine King; and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving friends and family.
