Marshall J. Ducote, 83, of Bridge City, died Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Harbor Hospital in Orange.
Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2008, at First Baptist Church Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Bob Boone.
Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Marshall was born on September 30, 1924, in Red Cross, LA. He was the son of Alphonse and Lillie Ducote. He worked as an operator at Gulf Oil. He was a member of VFW, OCAW, 423 Local, and First Baptist Church Bridge City.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Juanita Loper; grandchild Karen Loper; sisters, Delores Adams and Shirley Webb; brothers, J.P. Ducote, Abner Ducote, and Joseph Ducote.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Juanita Ducote; great-granddaughter, Jessica Young; and brother, Francis Ducote.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Simonton, Jr., David Rascoe, Gary Rascoe, Tommy Howard, Jason Head, Stuart Bertles, Britt Rascoe, and Gregory Rascoe.
Honorary pallbearers are the Mens Adult 7 Sunday school class at First Baptist Church Bridge City.
