Marvin Moore, 73, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on April 18, 2021, in Port Arthur.
Cremation is held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
Born on November 2, 1947, he was the son of Floyd Moore and Archie A. Jones (Corry). Marvin was a hard working carpenter, and before his work in carpentry he served our country in the United States Navy. Marvin loved to be surrounded by music, always listening to Jazz or 60’s Rock & Roll. He also enjoyed his time cooking, and spending time with his dearly loved chihuahua Little Bit. He was also an active member at the Turning Point Church in Vidor. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Moore and Archie A. Jones (Corry); step sister, Doris Brown; and step father, Archie W. Jones.
He is survived by his daughters, Amber Brown and husband Ryan of California, and Amy Tyler and husband Wayne of Grand Prairie,TX; grandchildren, Katherine, Henry, Evan, Tate, and Charlie; sisters, Mary McCoy and husband Frank, and Deborah Fuchs and husband Ronnie; and numerous cousins and family of Starks, LA.
