Obituary
Mary Ballard, 96, of Orange, passed away on May 1, 2021, in Orange, TX.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2021, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Born in Snoqualmie, Washington, on September 20, 1924, she was the daughter of Edwin Stephenson and Vera (Bennett) Stephenson. Mary enjoyed keeping her mind active working on crossword and word search puzzles. She also enjoyed watching her soap operas and adding to her beautiful collection of porcelain birds and dolls. Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Ballard; daughter, Joyce Peck; parents, Edwin Stephenson and Vera (Bennett) Stephenson; sisters, Bernice Simmons and Freda Calhoun.
She is survived by her children, JoAnn Lane, Gloria Butler, and Linda Rollins; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

My grandma was very special to me I talked to her often we didn't get to see her very often since we lived many miles apart but I always enjoyed talking to her on the phone .A month before her passing I got the privilege to spend time with her it was a great month we looked thru alot of pictures and she was able to tell me who some of the people were . She was such a blessing .she lived a great life and she will be missed by so many .Love you so much grandma your granddaughter Becky
