Mary Ann Peveto Bennett
Mary Ann Peveto Bennett, 90, of Orange, passed away November 29, 2022, at her home in Orange, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, TX. Officiating will be Brother David Turner, pastor at Little Cypress Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Jett Cemetery in Orange, TX.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born in China, TX on May 21, 1932, Ann was the daughter of Earl & Grace Sanders Peveto. Ann graduated from Mauriceville High School, where she attended all her school years. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church & served on numerous committees. Ann was employed with the Boy Scouts of America in Austin Tx and later worked for The State of Texas Railroad Commission in Austin & Dallas, TX from which she retired. She then moved back to Orange & served as a volunteer at Baptist Hospital-Orange.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Grace Peveto; her former husband, BJ Bennett; her siblings, Marie Stephenson, Joe G. Peveto, Doris Hebert and Bonnie Scott.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Grady & Jodi Bennett; grandchildren, Erin Wilkerson & Devin Wagner & great grandchildren, Logan Sharp & Liam Wilkerson. Numerous nieces & nephews who loved her dearly.
Serving as pallbearers will be Grady Bennett, Randy Hebert, Harold Whitton, Charlie Ricks, Shawn Butler, Doug Heigley. Honorary pallbearers Devin Wagner, Ed Williams, Jack Williams, Cody Hebert, Landon Hebert, Carson Hebert & Easton Heigley.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Little Cypress Baptist Church.
