Mary Diana Bowman

Mary Diana Bowman, 69, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on May 12, 2024, at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston. 

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Keith Royal. 

 

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Bridge City.

 

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on July 28, 1954, she was the daughter of Don Sparks and Ann Duval Sparks. Diana dedicated her life to her family as an excellent mother whose mission was to ensure the well-being of her loved ones.
 
Known affectionately as "MawMaw" by her grandchildren, Diana’s nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family. She had a passion for shopping and possessed a creative spirit that found expression in crafting beautiful floral arrangements. Her artistic touch brought joy to those around her and left memories of her thoughtful gestures.
 
Diana found strength and comfort in her faith, finding solace in attending services at the First Baptist Church in Bridge City. Her commitment to her spiritual beliefs guided her actions throughout her life. She loved her church family and all those in her Sunday School class.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Ann Sparks; her brothers, Jerry Sparks, and Tommy Sparks; and her nephew, Eddie Sparks.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, 6 months, and 12 days, Dave Bowman; her daughters, Erica Jeanise and husband, Harley of Bradenton, Florida, and Tracy Cole and husband, Eric of Orange, Texas; her grandchildren, Evan Jeanise and wife, Alyssa, Madison Cole, Hayden Jeanise, Bowman Cole, Hutch Jeanise, and Kyndall Jeanise; her sister, Cheryl Landry and husband, Richard; her mother-in-law, Margaret Arisco; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Hoffpauir and husband, Scott Hoffpauir; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Evan Jeanise, Madison Cole, Hayden Jeanise, Bowman Cole, Hutch Jeanise, and Kyndall Jeanise. 

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and to Folds of Honor. 

 

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
