Mary Diane Bryan, 71, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 23, 2020, at her oldest son’s home in Nederland, Texas.
The family will be holding a memorial gathering 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 28, at First Baptist Church - West Orange at 608 Dayton St. West Orange, Tx, 77630.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Procella of First Baptist Church of West Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on December 27, 1949, she was the daughter of Floyd Collins and Mary (Curry) Collins. Diane was a devout Christian who found great joy in attending church. She was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church of West Orange, teaching Sunday School and volunteering. Diane had a creative spirit, and she loved crafting, sewing, and collecting porcelain dolls, jewelry, and antique glass. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and “Mawmaw” to her beloved grandbabies. Diane enjoyed being the caretaker for her family and was always the team mom when her children were younger. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mary Collins; her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Bryan; and her daughter, Dena Bryan.
She is survived by her sons, David Bryan and wife Rachel of Nederland, and Robert Bryan of Orange; her grandchildren, Emily Bryan, Izabella “Izzy” Bryan, Katelyn Keneson, and William Messick; her special aunt who helped raise her, Edna Seilhan; and her sisters-in-law, Carolyn “Sissy” Baudoin and Charline Bryan Watz; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
