Mary Cook, 73, of the Little Cypress Community, died Thursday, September 25, 2008, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, September 27th, at First United Pentecostal Church in Orange , with the Reverend Gary P. Wheeler, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City .
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church.
Born in Deweyville on August 23, 1935, Mrs. Cook had been a life long resident of the area. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Orange . She was very active with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the local telethon in Orange.
Preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lee Cook, and sons, Danny and Donald Cook, she is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Ricky Trahan of Little Cypress, Joyce and Tim Morgan of Beaumont; granddaughters, Crystal Kendall and Kayley Trahan; great grandchildren, Destinii Kendall, Corbin Kendall, Ciarra Kendall, Amaya Kendall and Declan Kendall.
Also surviving are brothers, Max Wilkerson of California , T. J. Wilkerson of Deweyville; and sisters, Jeanette Stafford of Deweyville and Maxine Moore of Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Neal, Corbin Kendall, Jarrard Kendall, Tim Morgan, Chad Wilkerson, Greg Willis, Neil Wilkerson, and Anthony Hryhorchuk.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lastie Duhon, Hugh Hryhorchuk and Brinley Stafford.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice of Texas in Beaumont , for the love and care given to Mrs. Cook.
