Mary Drees

February 21, 1915 — October 3, 2007

Mary Malissa Drees, age 92, passed into eternal rest on October 6, 2007. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday at 10:00 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Pastor Matthew Richard of Spring Creek Baptist in Waco, her great-grandson, will officiate. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Mary Nana was born February 21, 1915, in Fairbury, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents Nellie and Harry Arnold, her brother Fred Arnold, and husband Roy B. Drees.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Millar and husband Bill; granddaughters, Melissa Pousson and husband Ray, and Joy Richard and husband C.L., all of Orange, TX. She is also survived by great grandsons, Matthew Richard and wife Michelle of Waco, TX, Cody Richard, Ben Pousson, and Taylor Pousson of Orange
Niece, Gwen Wells of Lincoln, NE; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Mary was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She was an excellent cook and seamstress and was a long time member of Park Avenue Methodist Church. Mary also spent many Mondays with a group of friends, The Lunch Bunch. She will always be remembered for her home cooked meals and family gatherings at her house. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Richard, Cody Richard, C.L. Richard, Ben Pousson, Taylor Pousson, and Ray Pousson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rudy Barbin.
The family would like to thank and acknowledge Joy Richard, Kathy Darbonne, Edna Bell, Linda Willis, and Kathy Stephens for their loving care and devotion to Nana during the past year. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Southeast Texas Hospice of Orange 912 W. Cherry Ave. Orange, TX 77630.
