Mrs. Graves was born November 24, 1919, in Jacksonville, FL, the daughter of Theodore and Erin Morrison.
She attended LaSalle College in Haverhill Mass before graduating from the University of Alabama.
She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Jacksonville, FL.
She loved to travel and being fluent in French and Spanish and then learning German, it allowed her to go places on her own which would be difficult without that knowledge. She did join a Travel Group when going into Russia.
She made several friends around the world who she kept in touch with through the years. One of her most interesting trips was by freighter to Australia to visit with two families she had met. They kept in touch and came to visit her.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard A. Graves, Jr.; sons, Richard A. Graves III and wife Sarah of Alpharetta, GA, Robert A. Graves of Forest, VA; grandsons, Richard A. Graves IV and William Parke Graves.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Jean McBride and her staff at Golden Years and Hospice for their loving kindness and care to Mary Elizabeth during her the remaining years.
