Mary Joretta Hubbard, 73, a long time resident of Orange, passed away Wednesday September 26, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday September 30, 2007 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell of Cove Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hubbard was born May 19, 1934 in Rattan, OK to Elmer James and Bonnie Stalings Smith. She worked as an LVN at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange for 27 years before retiring. She was a member of Church of Christ and had also attended Cove Baptist Church, enjoyed crafts and working in her flower garden.
Mrs. Hubbard was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ray Hubbard and her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Oma Jean Hubbard of Orange, Randy Hubbard of West Orange, Thomas Hubbard of Orange and Michael and Vivien Hubbard of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Gail and Joe Patronella of West Orange; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and brothers, Glen Smith of Gilcrest and Charles Smith and wife Loretta of Alvin.
