Mary Ruth Alborn Wright, 92, of Orange, passed from her earthly life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 29, 2014.

Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas will handle arrangements with visitation on Friday May 2, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Claybar Funeral Home with burial following at Orange Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Orange. Reverend Lynn Ashcraft will officiate the services with Reverend Scott McIntosh assisting.

Mrs. Wright is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Melton Wright, as well as two brothers, Gus Alborn and Charles Alborn, both of Orange. Mrs. Wright is survived by one daughter, Nancy Hankins and her husband, Mack of Nederland, Texas and two sons, David Wright of Orange and Stephen Wright and wife Julie, of Nacogdoches, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wright’s grandsons and granddaughters will honor their Memaw by serving as her pallbearers.

Mrs. Wright was born on September 13, 1921, to Charles and Edna Alborn and was a lifelong resident of Orange. After Mrs. Wright retired from her employment at Orange Memorial Hospital, she later became a Red Cross Volunteer and served for many years before retiring in 2009. Mrs. Wright has been a faithful member of North Orange Baptist Church for 60 years.

Together through life, separated by death, reunited again in Heaven…..
