Mattie Louise Head, 76, formerly of Jena, Louisiana, passed away on October 11, 2014, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Nebo Baptist Church in Nebo, Louisiana. Officiating will be Reverend Glen Roark. Burial will follow at Graham Cemetery in Nebo, Louisiana.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Nebo Baptist Church in Nebo, Louisiana.
Born in Nebo, Louisiana, on October 15, 1937, she was the daughter of Talmadge Graham and Mary Smith Graham. Louise was a very proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Through all the trials in her life she always had a smile on her face and a song in her heart. She was loved by all and will be missed dearly by those who had the honor of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Leon Head; daughter Abbie Cooper Head; parents; brothers Clifford Graham, Murl Graham, Buddy Graham, Leon Graham and Billy Graham and sisters Treon Muery and Christine Harvey.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Poole and husband, David of Bridge City, Texas; grandchildren, Rebekah Daily, and husband Shane of Bridge City, Texas and brother, Jimmy Graham of Nebo, Louisiana.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Daily, Henry Muery and Michael Muery. Honorary pallbearers are Eli Daily and Graham Daily.
