Maxie "Burlene" Risinger
Maxie "Burlene" Risinger was promoted to heaven on November 14, 2014 at age 77.

A celebration of her life will be held at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas, Monday, November 17th at 10:00 a.m., with a graveside service following at 3:00 p.m. at Dunnigan Cemetery, located on FM 2261 in Patroon, Texas (Shelby County).

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 Sunday, November 16th at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

She was born in San Augustine County on March 26, 1937 to Clarence and Lera Parker and was raised in the Norwood community of east Texas. She loved to sew and crochet when she was younger but her favorite hobby was always fishing. She owned and operated McLewis Grocery from 1981-1992. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She took joy in taking care of her husband and family and will be missed terribly by them all.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Marlon Risinger, daughter, Lequita Hoffpauir and husband, Jeff, son, Dr. Ronald K. Risinger and wife, Lynn, sister, Faye Hopkins, 7 grandchildren, Jason Ballard, Amy Gaither, Chelsea Legate, Katie Martin, Dane Risinger, Logan Risinger, and Brittney Bourque. She was blessed to also have 9 great-grandchildren who loved their MawMaw, and numerous other family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Hoffpauir, Jason Ballard, Dane Risinger, Logan Risinger, Mike Risinger, and Randy Risinger.
