Maxine Sutton, 80, of Orange, died Friday, June 12, 2009, in Port Arthur.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
A private burial of Mrs. Sutton's cremated remains will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Born in Forrest City, Arkansas on March 28, 1929, she was the daughter of Robert C. and Helen Shawver Smith.
Mrs. Sutton was a long time employee of the West Orange-Cove CISD where she was a registrar.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill Sutton, she is survived by her children, Stephen Paul Sutton of Hewitt, Cheryl Sutton Roberts of Port Neches, Philip Allen Sutton of Broaddus; niece, Gwen Settles of Boerne and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dottie and Eddie Strouhal of Dayton.
