Melton, Sr. was the best father in law that a daughter in law could ever ask for we had some of the best times just sitting in the living room and watching some of the corniest shows that have ever been made lol. We would make fun of the actors and actresses and have each other laughing through the whole show and for the reality show fear factor we would talk about the things that we would be willing to do and not do just to get the money lol. He was a sweetheart of a man, he always made me feel loved and appreciated in everything that I did or said. I loved this man so very much, I will miss his silly comments to me about his son and how to keep him in line lol. I am going to miss his BBQ so very much and watching him make it to perfection, he was so giving and cared about everyone in his life. I love you Melton, Sr and I hope that you and my dad are talking it up! Hugs and kisses to you both! Its going to be even harder to live without the both of you in our lives. Life won't be the same...until we meet again.. All my Love, Bridget

Melton worked for me for many years with Echo Maintenance at (Fina) Total. He was not only my right hand man on the job but a true friend as well. There was NEVER any job that he would back down from, it just never got to dirty, hot, cold, wet, high, muddy, oily or hard for Melton to handle. He was my go to guy when things got tough on the jobsite. He always said that a "title" would never earn you respect, that was something you had to earn yourself by showing examples to the men that followed you. Well, he had more respect from the people who worked directly under him than you could ever imagine. He has truly been missed from the jobsites since his retirement and those boots he wore are still way to big to fill. I could have never made it without you and your friendship and loyalty is something I will never forget. I always said if I could have 10 Melton's then I wouldn't need the other 20 guys on the job. A true friend and a honor to have experienced many memories that will never be forgotten. Doyle McCown Echo Maintenance

I keep looking at the front window waiting to see him, seems like hours would pass and he would just be staring out into the World. I always wondered what he was thinking as I would watch him get lost in those moments.I keep,Staring at the porch looking at his empty chair,I feel as empty as that chair looks right now.I used to sit here and pray for him while I watched him outside playing with the Kids or lost in his thoughts. going to miss the early mornings when he would crank up the lawn Mower right next to my room (I never thought I was going to miss that LOL) but I know as matt is outside mowing I keep looking out the window looking for my Dad.When I was little he would take me to the old walmart sit with me and we would have a bite to eat as we talked then we would walk around the store,He was a Awsome man who loves God,his kids, his wife and his family Hard working and he would give the shirt off his back. Miss you Daddy
