Mercer Cameron Eason ?Mutt?, 87, of Orange, died Monday, November 26, 2007.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, November 30, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Pastor Terry Brown will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange with Masonic Rites.
Visitation will be 5-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Mutt was born July 25, 1920, in Port Arthur to Harvey Thompson and Eveline Victoria Brewer Eason.
Mutt retired after 37 years from Dupont.
He was a WWII Navy Veteran, he was a Master Mason and member of Madison Lodge #126, a member of Shriner Casian Grotto, a lifetime member of VFW and a member of First Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth ?Babe? Eason and sister Dorothy Darbonne.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Colleps of Houston, sons, Paul Cameron Eason Sr. of Brookeland and Karl Harvey Eason Sr. and wife Rosalie of Orange; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Tran and husband Michael, Karl Harvey Eason Jr. and wife Amanda, Paul Cameron Eason Jr. and wife Angela, Dennisa Boen and husband Rick and Jimmy Colleps and wife Linda and six great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be members of Masons Lodge #126.
