Obituary
Meridith Lucille Hogg, 45, of Orange, passed away on March 23, 2017.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Barry Bradley. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., Sunday also at the church.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on October 28, 1971, she was a very active member of First Baptist Church in Orange. She was always the first person to volunteer for any activity, and she particularly enjoyed working with the children at church. She was a LVN nurse at Epoch in Beaumont for many years. She enjoyed helping people and was very active in the Gift of Life. Meridith was a very strong person and loved her children very much.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Collins Jordan, Sr.; and her brother, Walter Collins Jordan, Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Sarah Collins of Orange; her daughter, Brittanie Hogg of Orange; her son, Robert Duhon of Las Vegas, Nevada; and her siblings, Melissa Turner of Orange, Stephen Warnock of Nederland, Michelle Powell of Orange, Jeremy Warnock of Beaumont, and Nicole Atkeson of Beaumont.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Ferrell, Nathan Sanford, Jason Fuller, Zach Thomas, Chris Kovatch, and James Wright. Honorary pallbearers are Noah Fuller, Brady Wright, and Hudson Wright.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, 7637 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Orange, Texas 77632 or to American Cancer Society, 4 Bayoubrandt Dr B, Beaumont, Texas 77706.
