Michael Paul Brown, 63, of West Orange, Texas, passed away on September 20, 2020, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Raymond Smith of Nedville Missionary Baptist Church in Jasper. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at West Oaks Cemetery in Jasper.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on July 5, 1957, he was the son of Thomas Edgar Brown and Rhoda Jean (Weatherly) Brown. Paul graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur in 1975. He went on to work as a pipefitter for many years. Paul always kept himself busy and loved woodworking and carpentry. He also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, collecting guns, and fishing. Paul was a wonderful husband, son, father, grandfather, and brother. He was also a great friend to many and was known for always keeping in touch with those of his past and present. Paul will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Edgar Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Martha Brown of West Orange; his mother, Rhoda Jean Brown of Jasper; his son, David Brown and wife Shanna of Nederland; his stepdaughter, Rachelle Duhon and husband Lennard of Orange; his grandchildren, Kael Brown, Kaleb Brown, and Kolten Brown; his sisters, Vicki Bunch and husband Felix of Jasper, and Liz Elliott and husband Joe of Nederland; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
