Funeral services for Michael Carder, 52 of Liberty will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2007 in the Charles S. Kelley Memorial Chapel at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends was held Sunday evening.
Mike was born June 13, 1955 in Beaumont to Ray Echus and Frances E. Carder and passed away August 11, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
He was a member at Dowlen Road Church of Christ who loved playing golf, fishing, hunting and everything outdoors. Mike also had a passion for growing hot peppers. He was a great friend and will be missed by all who loved him.
Preceded in death by his father, he is survived by his children, Janice Carder and Billy Ray Carder both of Vidor; mother, Frances Carder of Liberty; brothers, J.J. Carder and Ray Carder both of Vidor; sisters, Gail Legendre of Vidor and Dottie Henderson of Houston; and three grandchildren.
