Michael Allan Hensley, 51, of Vidor, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
Michael was born September 10, 1969 in Midwest City, OK to Billy and Bobbie Hensley. Michael spent most of his adolescence in Vidor but moved to Wynnewood, OK in his teen years, where he graduated High School. Soon after graduation, Michael joined the US Army where he served 5 years and was a Gulf War Veteran. In time, Michael made his way back to his hometown of Vidor and spent more than 20 years as a diesel mechanic in the marine industry. In 2012, just prior to marrying his wife Brandie, Michael purchased a Snap-on tool Franchise which he and his wife operated until his retirement in 2017. Michael always said that it was a no brainer to sell and promote the best tools that he had used all of his life. For those that knew Michael, knew that he rarely ever met a stranger. He was known to greet his friends and family with a great big hug because he truly cared about people. He had the biggest heart and was full of life. Fast cars and loud engines was one of Michael's passions. He could hear a V8 engine miles away. He made an impact on so many lives and will be missed dearly.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Bonnie Hensley and Calvin and Leona Bonner.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Brandie Hensley of Vidor; children, Lauren Smith of Vidor, Dillon Smith of Hemphill, William Hensley of Vidor, Sheldon Allan Hensley of Vidor; brother, Kevin Hensley and wife Lynette of Vidor; grandchildren, Allie Hensley and Isaac Hensley; parents, Billy and Bobbie Hensley of Oklahoma; and close friend, Ethan Majors, whom he loved like a son.
