Michael T. Lee, 81, of Orange, Texas, passed away on March 15, 2024, at home. 

Born in Cuero, Texas, on March 15, 1943, she was the daughter of David Towery and Peggy Jo Jones. Michael had a fulfilling career as a librarian in West Orange and Vidor. Michael was known for her warm and welcoming personality, making everyone feel at ease in presence. In addition to her successful career, Michael valued education and obtained her high school diploma from Edna Highschool and graduated from Stephen F. Austin. She had a passion for reading, playing mahjong, and delving into genealogy in her free time. Michael was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and leaves behind cherished memories filled with love and kindness.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert “Boyd” Lee; sisters, Janet Satterwhite and Judy Hess.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Lee and wife, Danneal; and grandson, David “Anthony” Lee.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
