Michael Dean Taylor, 54, of Lumberton, passed away on October 27, 2017, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 11:00a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins in Beaumont. Officiating will be Reverend James D. Sheppeard of Deliverance Tabernacle in New Caney, Texas. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Beaumont.
Born in Milton, Florida, on March 31, 1963, he was the son of Robert A. Taylor, Sr. and Kathleen B. Taylor. Michael was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was part of the security department of General Dynamics in Fort Worth. He later was a security assistant manager of Quantum Computers in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Michael loved riding his Vespa scooter, playing music and was an avid expert chess player. He was like his uncle Daryl, he loved to eat good food. He was a gentle soul that suffered years with many illnesses. He is now free of pain in body and spirit, and has gone on to be with the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Robert A. Taylor, Sr. and his brother, Robert A. Taylor, Jr.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Taylor of Virginia; mother, Kathleen B. Taylor of Lumberton; sister, Diana M. Medford of Houston; nieces; Shelly Lout, Laura Keller, and Leah Westmoreland; nephew, Allen Taylor; as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Medford, Allen Taylor, Andrew Westmoreland, Cory Lout, Timothy Sheppeard, and Junior Wood.
