Michelle Denise Maddox, 58, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on June 12, 2025, in Vidor.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Michelle was born on October 10, 1966, in Beaumont, Texas, to Bobby Warlick and Adrianne Mathieu. She was known for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and quiet strength. Michelle found joy in life’s simplest pleasures. She loved fishing, camping at the lake, the Ozark Mountains, playing bingo and time spent simply laughing in the backyard with family and friends. Her love for country music and dancing was downright irresistible—you’d be two-stepping with her in no time, wondering how you ended up on the dance floor with the biggest smile on your face. Her laugh was contagious, and you could have the best time with her by simply just being in her presence. To her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as “Meme,” a name that captured the warmth, comfort, and unconditional love she gave so freely. Michelle’s sweet and sincere nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her conversations were marked by empathy, genuine care, and a comforting presence. She was not only a cherished Mama and Meme but also a dear friend to many. Everyone she ever met truly loved her because she made it so easy. Though she is no longer with us, Michelle’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love, laughter, and kindness she brought into the world.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Bobby Warlick; her stepfather, James Petroski; her sister, Karen Almaguer; and her brother, Brent Warlick.

She is survived by her mother, Adrianne Petroski; daughters, Jamie Thomas and husband, Michael, and Nichole Havard and husband, Steven; her son, Denton Staggs and wife, Haley; her grandchildren, Camryn Revia, Peyton Revia, Brantlee Thomas, Dawsen Revia, Maisyn Revia, Kaiser Havard, Micah Thomas, Beau Havard, Jordyn Havard, Bradley Staggs, and Bennett Staggs; her sister, Shanna Byrns; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Michelle's service will be livestream for those who are unable to make it. It will be post under her obituary on the claybarfuneralhome.com.

To Jamie and entire family. You have my deepest sympathy in the passing of your mother. This is probably one of the hardest time of your life , but remember you shall miss her and mourn her; but she is in the arms of our Father this day. Nothing can be better than that. Also Im sure there is country music and dancing there.
