Mike Seals, 64, of Orange, passed away on May 25, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Waukegan, Illinois, on November 24, 1957, he was the son of William and Adolfina Seals. Mike grew up a military brat and lived all over the world with his Naval officer father and mother. In his youth, Mike lived in Idaho, Virginia, Illinois, California, Texas and Naples, Italy. Mike spent his first three years of high school at Forrest Sherman high school in Naples, Italy, before graduating in 1975 from Lutcher Stark high school in Orange, Texas. Shortly after graduating from high school, he joined and served in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1979, where he spent two years in Australia.

Mike always enjoyed being outdoors. While living on Yerba Buena Island in San Francisco as a youth, Mike fell in love with fishing, sailing, and the beach. Mike always loved listening to music, usually while he was working on a car or building a new piece of furniture. He loved working with his hands and adored his animals, Mike always made the most out of life and enjoyed every minute of it. He will be truly missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, William and Adolfina Seals.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; son, Dylan Seals; siblings, Bill Seals and wife Aranya, Pamela Blum and husband Tommy; nieces, Katie Young and husband Matt, and Lisa McDonald and husband Chris, and Kelly Goins Lee; nephews Benjamin Goins and Joshua Frick; two half-sisters, Lolly Goins and Gail Margo Campbell; and a half-brother George A. Frick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in Mike’s name.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
