Mildred Hebert Bozeman, 93, of Orange, Texas passed peacefully on July 27, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverends Larry Haynes and Keith Giblin. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will begin prior to the service at 9:30 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on December 15, 1929, she was the daughter of Wilson Hebert and Edith (Bindault) Hebert. Mildred graduated high school from Mauriceville High School in 1947. She studied to become a licensed vocational nurse and worked at the Old Orange Hospital. There, she met Ellis Bozeman and later they were married and began their little family of four. She followed Ellis to San Francisco, California and Provo, Utah as he worked before returning to Orange to be near her family and raise her children. She became caregiver to her mother and father in their later years as well as to Ellis during his battle with cancer. Mildred was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Edith Hebert; brothers, Clarence Hebert, Dalton Hebert, and Lawrence Hebert; husband, Ellis W. Bozeman; and daughter, Shanna Bozeman.

She is survived by her daughter, Edye Patterson and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Nicole Davidson, Jesse Due, and Dani Patterson; great grandchildren, Skylar, Jacey, Leanna, Karsyn, Devin, Kynlee, and Keeley; as well as other loving family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Due, Ryan Menard, Mark Duran, Marc Henry, Kevin Fuller, and Darin Trahan. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Patterson, Rikki Cantrell, and Jimmy Davidson.

The family would like to extend its gratitude to the staff at Prescribed Home Health and Harbor Hospice, Ryan and Melissa Menard, Sharon Whitton, Ruth Chesson, and Maureen Duhon for being a part of the village that assisted in caring for Mildred after the devastating death of her daughter, Shanna, in 2016.
