Funeral services for Mildred Corbello, 85, of Beaumont will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Westgate Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Raymond McHenry and Chaplain David Cross officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Corbello was born July 30, 1930 in Tenaha, Texas to the late Robert and Virginia (Hairgrove) Oliver and peacefully went to be with her Lord on May 22, 2016 at Calder Woods. A graduate and valedictorian of Kountze High School in 1947, she and her husband, Donald, founded Cardinal Glass Company. She was a member of Westgate Memorial Baptist Church and was a longtime volunteer at Baptist Hospital.
She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Corbello of Beaumont, Donna Corbello of Navasota, Dee Booker of Beaumont; one son, David Corbello and wife, Karen of Beaumont; ten grandchildren, Kacy Culp Sokic, Kerry Sims, Elizabeth Ray, Michael Ray, Amy Woodard, Eric Booker, Ryan Booker, Brittany Corbello, Alex Corbello, Cale Corbello; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don; three brothers and one sister.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and caregivers of Calder Woods and Buckner Hospice for the loving care given to their mother.
