Mildred Desormeaux Trahan, 79, of Bridge City, died, Friday, September 14, 2007, at Gulf Health Care Center in Port Arthur.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 16, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Reverend Tino Barerra of St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland will officiate.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Trahan was born February 3, 1928, in Gueydan, LA, the daughter of Joseph Desormeaux and Avalia Manceaux Desormeaux.
Mrs. Trahan is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen, of 57 years; brothers, J. C. Desormeaux and Clifford Desormeaux.
She is survived by her son, Paul Trahan and wife Charlene of Lumberton, daughters, Linda Belk and husband Clint, Van Bryant and husband Paul all of Bridge City; grandchildren, Chad Trahan, Crystal Trahan, Rachel Fincher, April Castellano, Josh Landry and Raun Bryant; seven great grandchildren; and sister Tommy Doucet of Starks, LA.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Trahan, Josh Landry, Billy Doucet, Stephen Desormeaux, Raun Bryant and Doug Fincher.
