Mildred “Sissy” Mallett Hebert, 86, of Orange, passed away on January 14, 2021, at her home.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Mr. Tony Goins. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 6:30 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Jasper, Texas, on November 23, 1934, she was the daughter of Wiley Adams and Edna (Choate) Adams. Sissy served her Lord faithfully and taught Sunday School classes at the Church of Christ for many years. She was a wonderful person through and through and enjoyed being surrounded by her loved ones. Sissy loved baking and was a talented cook. She will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Edna Adams; son, Gary Sheffield; brother, Raymond Adams; and sister Mary Alice Masengil.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Hebert; children, Kathy Solly and Vickie Simon and husband Edward; grandchildren, Karla Ward, Kasey Jones, Misty Smith and Chad Simon; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchild; and sister, Evelyn Zeigler.
Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Simon, Chad Simon, Tim Ward, Tirrell Jones, and Joshua Wright.

I am just seeing this, I know there are no words that can ease the pain, Mildred was such a wonderful woman. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. How she kept this attitude is something I never understood. Mildred lived her faith everyday. I met Mildred in the 1970's our lives have went through many ups and downs since then. I talked to her I think in Dec. we talked every month or so. I moved out of the area, but still talked. If I can do anything please let me know. Mildred ws loved by so many.
