Milford "Peanut" Nichols, 55, of Bridge City, Texas died Friday, April 23, 2010, at his home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Brad Morgan of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City, and Reverend Bill Phillips of St. Paul Episcopal Church of Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00, Monday at the Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Orange, Texas on November 11, 1954, Milford was the son of Sarah Cowan and Milford Quinten Nichols, Sr. He was retired from the United States Air Force and worked in the family business at Nick's Pharmacy.

Milford was preceded in death by his parents and his late wife, Brenda.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Nichols; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Stephanie Nichols of Little Cypress; son, Charlie Nichols of Bridge City; stepdaughter, Holly Babineaux also of Bridge City; grandchildren, Jaelyn Nichols, Brittany Gardner, and Malanna Molley; sister, Margaret Nichols-Jeffcote of Bridge City; and brother, Wilbur Nichols and wife Becky, also of Bridge City.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Joe Hebert, Terrell Hatton, Donnie Mulhollan, David Riddling, Ron Prescott, and Jim Vestal. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Jeffcote, Bill Nichols, Anthony Williams, Sam Nichols, Calvin Stakes, and Lynn Peveto.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Odyssey Hospice or favorite charity.
