Obituary

In Loving Memory of Milly Jean Harper

March 12, 1938 – October 20, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Milly Jeane Harper, age 88, who passed away peacefully at her home in Mauriceville, Texas, on October 20, 2026, following a short illness.

Milly was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lynn Harper, and her son, Rodger Lynn Harper.

Milly was a woman of strength, determination, and an incredible work ethic. She spent many years working in the restaurant business, where her dedication and hardworking nature were evident to everyone who knew her.

Above all else, Milly loved her family. She was the heart and soul of her family, the one who helped hold everyone together through life's many ups and downs. Her strength, love, and devotion to those closest to her will forever be remembered.

Milly leaves behind her two loving daughters, Lynda Tilley and husband Jerry Tilley, and Becky Dalton and husband JW Dalton.

She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Laurie Tilley, Mandy and husband Robbie Simon, Justin Bufford, Jessica Dalton, Jamey and husband Rowdy MacFarlane, Jake Dalton, and Logan and wife Brandi Williford.

Her legacy continues through her 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, each a special part of the family she loved so dearly.

Milly was more than a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was the matriarch of her family, a woman whose love, strength, and presence helped shape generations.

Her passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved her, but the memories she created, the lessons she taught, and the love she shared will live on for generations to come.

Milly was truly loved, and she will be deeply missed. Her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of her family.

Rest in peace, MawMaw Your work here is done, but your love will live on forever.
