Mina (Mimi) Koebel Richmond born, May 8, 1925 in Hanau Germany passed away in the morning of May 28, 2018.
Mina (Mimi) was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who dearly loved her family. She is German, but learned to love the U.S.A. and considered Vinton, Louisiana as her home for 48 years of living here, not counting those years she traveled with her husband, Jehu during their military assignments. She chose to remain a German Citizen because it allowed her and Jehu to reside in either of the two countries while married.
Mimi was a great cook and actually enjoyed taking care of Jehu and their house. She never complained about how much housework was necessary and she did it all cheerfully.
She loved talking over the telephone with family members both in Germany and here in America. She could talk for hours and got so much pleasure while keeping up-to-date with them.
Mimi loved people, friends as well as family. She never met a stranger, or at least, they were not strangers for long because, to meet Mina, was to love her, and they all did immediately.
Mina B. Richmond is survived by her Loving Husband of 48 years, Jehu C. (J.C.) (Pop-Eye) Richmond.
