Miss Mollie, 92, of Orange, Texas, posted her address change notification on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was surrounded by several members of her loving family when she peacefully departed for her eternal home in Glory. And, she was no doubt greeted by a host of friends and family; including that “old Oakdale bunch,” when she took her first steps onto heaven’s golden strands.

Mollie is preceded in death by her parents; Roy and Ludie Wells, four sisters; Elsie Dean Clark, Mary Creel, Edna Merle Johnson, Dorothy Jones, one brother; Harold Wells, one daughter; Debra Oates, and one son; Jackie Willis.

Those left to cherish her memory are one son; Gregory “Ace” Willis and wife Dana, six grandchildren; Lindsi Dennison and Husband CJ, Angelia Oates, Elaina Pagan, Blane Willis and wife Teresa, Joshua Willis, Lauren Willis, one “adopted” grandson; Rev. Devon Anders and wife Makenzie, along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Sister Mollie was a faithful member of First Church of Orange, where she was a friend to many; including her Pastor, the ladies prayer group, and several young aspiring ministers. Miss Mollie also served the West Orange-Cove Consolidated Independent School District well for nearly 30 years as Community Liaison, where she helped a countless number of students and their families. Often working behind the scenes, so only those fortunate kids and their families knew anything about it. And, that’s exactly how she wanted it! Her favorite saying was, “What you do speaks so loud, I can’t hear what you say” and her life exemplified that maxim. Miss Mollie was one of the most selfless, giving, godly women you would ever want to meet…unless you crossed her! She was a fierce defender of her church, family, and school district; a true Mustang through and through. Anyone who ever criticized or attacked any one of them would soon find out that doing so in her presence was a terrible mistake. Why? Because, as she did so often, she would implement her personal definition of “TACT”…knocking their teeth out, without busting their lip. - Figuratively speaking of course. Her friendship, advocacy, and godly example will be missed by all who knew her. So we say farewell for now, Miss Mollie. We will meet you in the morning, just inside the eastern gate.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are; Devon Anders, CJ Dennison, Samuel Johnson, Phillip Williams, Blane Willis, and Joshua Willis.
