Later, he would become a devout member of Liberty Baptist Church of Bridge City serving in various capacities teaching, preaching, and serving for 25 years. He was a devoted husband and loved his children and family desiring to see them all come to Christ, as he did his community. He also had many opportunities to travel outside of Texas and to other countries to work and spread the gospel. He cherished and adored his 15 grandchildren and being a “Paw.” He loved and made every opportunity to attend their ball games and programs. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
