Nan Touchet, 81, of Vidor, passed away on February 12, 2022, in Beaumont
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Chance Residence in Beaumont.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on April 26, 1940, she was the daughter of Warren Wilson Nereaux and Beulah Mae (Brannon) Nereaux. Nan had a huge heart for all animals and humans alike. She often carried a bag of dog food in her car in case she found a stray that was in need of a meal. She played on an all-women’s basketball team and enjoyed every minute on the court. Nan was so much fun and had an amazing sense of humor that attracted all those around her. She spent many days with her husband, Gerald, enjoying his company but mostly picking on each other. Nan ran a tight ship and always made sure those aboard were taken care of in every way possible. She loved going to garage sales with her sister, drinking margaritas and having a good time with those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Beulah Nereaux; and daughter, Cynthia Mae Quebedeaux.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Gerald Touchet; children, Annette Frye and husband Rick of Silsbee, Darlene Meyer of Beaumont, Nicole Smith and husband Aujon of Orange and Tod Touchet and wife Bette of Colmisniel; grandchildren, Erin White and husband Nathaniel of Silsbee, Elizabeth Glass and husband Austin of Silsbee, Haley Quebedeaux of Vidor, Trevon Howard of Orange, Meghan Boutte and husband Bryce Hoffpauir of Nederland, Phillip Meyer of Beaumont; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Arlene Chance and husband Darryl of Beaumont and Joan White of Vidor; and faithful furbaby that never left her side, Jedi; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews and other loving family and friends.
