Nancy Gabbard LeDoux

Funeral services for Nancy Gabbard LeDoux, 72, of Devers will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel with Reverend Les Jacobson officiating. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Cemetery.

Nancy was born on April 10, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Texas, born to F.L. and Lottie Mae Gabbard. She went to meet her Heavenly Father on March 26, 2016, at the age of 72.

Nancy was raised in Sulphur, Louisiana, where she was a member of Southside Baptist Church. During high school she was a member of the Sulphur High School band, playing the drums. Nancy graduated from Sulphur High School in 1961 and then attended Panola Junior College in Carthage, Texas, earning an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

After college she moved back to Sulphur and worked as a nurse at Calcasieu Cameron Hospital before marrying Bobby LeDoux of Carlyss, Louisiana. Bobby and Nancy were married on January 10, 1965, and were married for 51 years. As a Navy wife, Nancy lived in several locations across the United States before settling in Sour Lake, Texas, where she and Bobby raised three daughters, then moved to retire in Devers, Texas as an office manager in the pipeline construction industry.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby G. LeDoux of Devers; daughters, Rhonda Ritter and husband, Tatum of Nome, Shelley Henriksen of League City, Dana Haidusek and husband, Paul of Devers; five grandchildren; Holly Santoro and husband, Nick of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Hunter Ritter of Fort Worth, Kullen Ritter of Nome, Carter Haidusek of Devers, Gracie Ritter of Nome; great-grandchild, Shae LeDoux of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters, Pam Salazar and husband, John, Dorothy Hennick and husband, Steve, Vickie Lewis, and Ricky Gabbard and wife, Anna.

Nancy is preceded in death by her father and mother, F.L. and Lottie Mae Gabbard, brother Bobby Gabbard, sister Edna Gabbard, and grandson, Garrett Haidusek.
