Nancy Kirkland Procell, 83, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 9, 2026, in Orange.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 16, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Freddie Anderson. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 16, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on July 5, 1942, she was the daughter of Zach D. Kirkland and Betty R. Allbritton Kirkland. Nancy devoted her life to nurturing the hearts of those around her, leaving a legacy of love and kindness. Nancy had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for music, often found singing joyfully, her beautiful voice brought warmth and comfort to those fortunate enough to hear it. Alongside her love for music, Nancy also possessed an unwavering affection for animals. A devoted caregiver at heart, Nancy took great pride in her role as the owner of a daycare and nursery. For many years, she provided a nurturing environment where countless children thrived under her attentive care. Nancy was also a beloved member of the 9th and Elm Church of Christ, where she actively engaged in her faith and contributed to the community with warmth and devotion. As we celebrate the life of Nancy, we honor a woman whose heart was as expansive as her many talents. Her legacy of love, compassion, and community service will be remembered through the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Zach and Betty Kirkland; her husband, Quincy Procell; her niece, Dianne Cross; and her great great niece, Audrey Schatte.

She is survived by her brother, Zach Derwin Kirkland; her sister, Joyce Kirkland Cross; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Logan Schatte, Cody Schatte, Zach Breish, Shondel Cummings, Oscar Duran, and Jonathan Breish. Honorary pallbearer will be Maac Hughes.

I met Nancy in 1978 at work at Sak-n-pak on Cordrey in Orange! She started dating Quincy, then, they got Married! She was a Sweet and kind Person! Condolences to the Families!
