Nancy Lee Barnes Smith, 85, passed away October 23, 2016 in Beaumont, Texas. A service celebrating her life will be Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Claybar Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service at 9 a.m. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. in Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery in Westlake, Louisiana.
Mrs. Smith was born April 8, 1931 in Del Rio, Texas to Mary Elkin and Raymond Charles Barnes and was an honor graduate of Westlake Schools. She married Thomas Carl Smith August 28, 1948 in Westlake, Louisiana.
She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and Magnolia Avenue Baptist prior to its merging with Woodland Baptist.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, T. C. Smith; her son Mike Smith and her sister, Dorothy Landry.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Smith and his wife, Marilynn, of Deer Park, Texas; daughter, Kay Daigle and her husband, Jeff, of Beaumont, Texas; and sister, Maxine Harrell, of Westlake, Louisiana. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Dawne Wilson and her husband, Paul of Fredericksburg, Texas; Kevin Smith and his wife, Natalie, of Deer Park, Texas, Nicole Giglio and her husband, Damian, of Beaumont, Texas and Jarrod Daigle and his wife, Hillary, of Silsbee, Texas; great-grandchildren, Brittni, Bryant and Brandi Jackson, Piper, Pierce and Parrish Smith, Asher Giglio, Scarlett Giglio, Jaxon Daigle, and Oliver Daigle due in December; and nieces and nephews, Jerry Harrell, Charles Harrell, Mary Ann Pundt, Melissa Harrell, Melinda Harrell, Jimmy Harrrell, Raymond Landry and Doretta Ancelet.
