Nelda Joyce Beadle, 87, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 22, 2019, in Orange.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Father Joseph Daleo. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Houston, Texas, on July 26, 1932, she was the daughter of Ira “Jack” Evon Welford and Willie Pearl Strange Welford. Nelda enjoyed collecting things and shopping. She got the best of both worlds by frequenting garage sales, flea markets, and estate sales. She enjoyed spending time with friends, going out to eat, and most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Nelda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira “Jack” and Willie Pearl Welford; and her loving husband, Joseph “Jay” Martin Beadle.

Nelda is survived by her children, Joe Beadle and wife Andrea, of Orange, Linda Gault and husband Duane, of Orange, and Ernest Beadle and wife Donna, of Orange; grandchildren, Kristin Quigley, Matthew Beadle, Jennifer DeRouen and husband Bryan, Warren Beadle, Martin Beadle, and Anna Beadle; great-grandchildren, Jordan Stanley, Ashton DeRouen, Kaylee DeRouen, and Kyndall Quigley; and her sister, Norma Jean Strange, of Houston.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Beadle, Ernest Beadle, Duane Gault, Matthew Beadle, Marty Beadle, and Warren Beadle.

Mrs. Beadle’s family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to her caregiver, Sue Manley, for all of her wonderful care and support.
