Nelda Rose Morgan, 73, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on December 21, 2017, in Beaumont, Texas.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born on February 13, 1944, she was the daughter of Tootie and Inez Carpenter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert Morgan; nephew, John Sonnier; sister, Florence Sonnier; and brother, Jerry Carpenter. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Lesa Morgan; son, Doug Morgan and wife Janine; grandchildren, Amy Landry and husband Cody, Ryan Thibodeaux, Brittany Kent and husband Robert, Kayla Brooks and husband Blake, Jessica Parks, Caylie Morgan, Cole Morgan and Lacy Buffington and husband Josh; great-grandchildren, Peyton Landry, Emma Landry, Braylie Brooks, Brynna Brooks, Brody Kent and Brant Kent; siblings, Lynda Scott, Robert Carpenter, and David Carpenter; and her brother-in-law, CJ and Ruth Sonnier.

Mom I miss you more than words can say. You were by far the strongest woman I knew. But right now I'm lost. I wait for you to ring your bell so I can run in and check on you and you ask for your morning cup of coffee at 3 in the morning. I would do it over and over again for the rest of my life. But that wasn't up to me that was up to you and GOD. Everyone says take one day at a time and I know you would say the same. I know dad got the best birthday gift ever because it was you. I'm going to try and be strong just like you were because again you would do the same. I love you and dad from the bottom of my heart we all miss you both like crazy. I will still talk to you both for the rest of my days here. LOVE Y'ALL
