Ngo Van Lo, 61, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on December 16, 2019, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., on Friday, December 20, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City with Monk Su Ty Quan officiating. Cremation will follow the service at 11:30 a.m., at Haven of Rest Crematory located at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Orange, Texas.
Wakes will be held on both Wednesday, December 18 and Thursday, December 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Prayer ceremonies will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on both days.
Born in Da Nang, Vietnam, on May 26, 1958, he was the son of Cuc Van Ngo and Cai Thi Dao. Lo was a dedicated member of Buu Mon Buddhist Temple in Port Arthur, Texas. He was a very hardworking, strong willed, and determined man who spent many years working diligently providing for his family. Lo always made time and a point to spend time with his friends and family. He also loved family dinners at the buffet but especially loved time with his grandsons whom he adored. Lo was a wonderful husband, Ba, Ong, brother, and friend to all. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his oldest brother, Thuc Van Ngo.
Lo Van Ngo is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Buong Thi Ho; son, Cuong Chi Ngo and wife Linda Nguyen, of Bridge City; daughter, MongLinh Ngo Bass and husband Brandon Bass, of Geismer, LA; son, Thanh Tuan Ngo, of Bridge City; daughter, Hong Thi Ngo, of San Jose, CA; son, Cuong Van Ngo, of Vietnam; grandchildren, Tatum Bass and Witten Bass, of Geismer, LA; siblings, Chuc Van Ngo and wife Dang Thi Tran, of San Diego, CA, Dinh Thi Ngo and husband Tri Nguyen, of Orange, Dung Thi Ngo, of Vietnam, Xich Van Ngo and wife Lyna Ngo, of Southfield, MI, Xe Thi Ngo, of Vietnam, and Sang Thi Ngo, of Vietnam; nieces and nephews, Brandon Ngo, Robert Ngo, Tuyen Mong Ngo, Thanh Nguyen, Lucie Nguyen, and Andy Nguyen; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cuong Chi Ngo, Thanh Tuan Ngo, Cuong Ngo, Robert Ngo, Andy Nguyen, Brandon Bass, Calvin Dung Pham, and Thanh Van Tran.
